Past Due Accounts
Payment must be received at a Moreau-Grand office on or before the 15th of each month to avoid the 5% penalty fee. A postmark of the 15th does not meet the deadline. If mailing your payment, please allow the postal time necessary to have the payment arrive at our office by the 15th of each month, thus avoiding the penalty. Moreau-Grand appreciates your cooperation with this timeline.
If you become delinquent and a representative is sent to collect the amount due, you will be charged an additional $30 collection fee. At the time our representative is working collections, you will be required to pay the full amount due plus the collection fee or your electric service will be disconnected.
If your account is disconnected on collections, you will be required to pay the amount due (including the kilowatts used up to the time of disconnect), the $30 collection fee plus an additional $20 service connect fee to have service restored.
To help us correctly process your billing and payments, please be sure to include the top portion of your billing statement, along with your payment, in the return envelope.
